Image Guidelines for Safari Operators

Policy version: 2026-10-28.3 · Effective date:

These guidelines apply to images used in operator listings, including images supplied by URL. You must use only your own images and be entitled to let Safari Deals display, crop, resize and optimise them.

Which images are permitted?

Use only images you photographed or created yourself, or images licensed exclusively for your business with the necessary rights for public display on Safari Deals, including cropping, resizing and optimisation. Keep evidence of ownership, licences and required permissions.

Your own company logo may appear discreetly in a corner or along an edge. It must not dominate the image or obscure the subject.

Which images and overlays are prohibited?

Do not use prominent text, banners, price stickers, discount seals, telephone numbers, website addresses or dominant watermarks.

Erotic, sexual, nude or suggestive imagery, violence, animal cruelty and disturbing content are not permitted.

Do not use third-party photographs, stock images without a suitable exclusive licence, other operators’ images, or images found through search engines or social networks without the required rights. Protected third-party logos or trademarks and identifiable people without consent are not permitted; minors require consent from their parent or legal guardian.

Images must not misrepresent accommodation, services or wildlife as part of an offer when they are not part of that offer. Strongly manipulated or AI-generated imagery must not be presented as real photographs of the offer. A wildlife photograph does not guarantee a sighting.

Who is responsible for image rights?

By submitting a listing, the operator undertakes to use only its own images, hold all necessary rights and permissions, and comply with these guidelines. Otherwise copyright or other rights may be infringed, for which the operator is responsible.

For violations, Safari Deals may remove images, reject or deactivate listings and suspend accounts without refunding contributions already paid, insofar as legally permissible. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.

Videos in operator profiles

Use only your own videos or videos expressly licensed to you with the right to embed them. Follow YouTube’s terms. A video must allow embedding and be public or unlisted; private, age-restricted or otherwise unavailable videos may not play. Keep evidence of the necessary rights and permissions.

The same media-content rules apply: no sexual, violent, abusive, disturbing or misleading content, infringement of third-party rights, or prominent promotional messages. Obtain consent for identifiable people, including guardian consent for minors. For violations, media may be removed, profiles deactivated and accounts suspended without refunding contributions already paid, insofar as legally permissible.

Adding or changing a video requires a rights confirmation and renewed administrative profile approval. Safari Deals stores only the YouTube video ID, required title and ordering/moderation data, not the submitted link or its tracking parameters.

Starter and the 72-hour trial do not include videos. Growth M includes 1 video; Premium XXL includes up to 5. On expiry or downgrade, excess videos are hidden, not deleted. A renewed or upgraded membership restores visibility only for media and profiles that retain approval.

Enforced upload requirements

Uploads accept JPEG / PNG / WebP, with a maximum of 10 MB per offer image. Landscape is preferred. The following minimum dimensions, maximum side lengths, pixel limits and account quotas are enforced on the server. MB below means 1,048,576 bytes.

Offer and gallery photos
10 MB · 1600 × 900 px – 8000 px · 40 MP · 4:5–21:9
Company logo
2 MB · 256 × 256 px – 4000 px · 16 MP
Account storage
S: 300 MB · M: 1536 MB · XXL: 6144 MB
Per user account
30 / rolling hour · 100 / rolling day

Trial accounts follow Starter image and storage limits. Reservations for simultaneous uploads count towards quotas. Failed attempts count towards the user upload limit. Images are decoded, reoriented and stripped of metadata; this is not automatic content or rights verification. Any edit withdraws publication approval; administrative review is required before images are shown on public listings.

Image allowances follow the applicable plan agreement and central plan configuration. No additional image entitlement is created by these guidelines.

Rights holders can report suspected infringement to mail@blackqub.com. Include the listing or image URL and an explanation of the rights concerned. Do not send unnecessary personal or sensitive documents.
